Our Favorite Things: Wedding Shoes (Pensacola, Florida)
As wedding photographers we see a lot of weddings, I mean A LOT. So, we are going to write a few blogs that show our favorite things in different areas. And, of course, because we are a bit obsessed, we are starting with SHOES!
It’s your BIG day and you have spent months planning every detail. Even the most traditional brides look for areas where they can show off their personal style. The easiest way to do this is your shoes. Long dresses with even longer trains offer coverage for statement pieces, but still allow you to incorporate your personality into your wedding. If you haven’t quite found what you are looking for, here are some of our favorite things (wedding shoe style) to point you in the right direction.
Of course we have seen some traditional white shoes, but with some lift.
And others with fluff. (I LOVE a great ruffle)
While others go for function with ballet slippers. These are great for the dancing brides who don’t want to wear Band-Aids on their honeymoon.
You can use your shoes to subtly reinforce a theme or motif for your wedding like these adorable boat shoes for a nautical theme or feathered shoes for a peacock motif.
Shoes are an easy way to carry out your color scheme throughout the entire bridal party.
Sometimes brides just want to show off their style. Check out these animal print stilettos.
For shoe lovers, your wedding is great incentive to purchase a pair of shoes from your favorite designer. This is an easy way to show your everyday style. I love seeing brands ranging from Louboutins to TOMS and everywhere in between.
You can always put your shoes to good use and fulfill your “something blue” at the same time.
Don’t let the girls have all of the fun. “Check” out these guys.
Shoes aren’t just to be worn. These days we have seen it all when it comes to shoes. Some brides have their bridesmaids sign the bottom of their shoes, while other brides decorate them. If you want to keep it traditional, but with a kick, think about white shoes with a colored bottom.
If you have a beach wedding, who needs shoes? You can simply adorn your feet with more jewelry. We are always looking for a reason for more jewelry, right?
