About
Hi. I’m Aislinn. Here are ten (moderately) interesting things about me:
10. I moved to Pensacola (by choice!) in 2009. I came by way of Savannah, Atlanta, North Carolina, Texas, Connecticut, and New York.
9. I have a degree from Yale University. In English.
8. I like black-and-white photography. And color. And black-and-white. And color. (Okay, I like them both…)
7. I believe that “art” exists and manifests in flashes during the most emotionally extreme moments in life. My job as an “artist” is not to create art out of your
wedding, but to capture the art as it occurs. It will occur whether I am there or not. I want to hold it.
6. I have a “philosophy” for just about everything (see # 7). Life is more interesting that way.
5. I grew up in Fort Worth, Texas (yee-haw!). I can ride a horse to prove it.
4. My household consists of one husband (wonderful), one son (five years old and covered in dirt, probably), one daughter (one year old and probably singing “Old McDonald”), two dogs (big, furry, and galumphing), and about a million books. I also have some cameras.
3. I love the beach but am scared of the water. Likewise, I adore the outdoors but hate to sweat. I also enjoy chocolate cake but hate when my pants get too small.
2. My favorite book is Moby-Dick. The chapter on ambergris makes me shiver.
1. I cry at every wedding I photograph.
